    PARISIAN BASEMENT

    Found Photography | 2020

Found in a basement in Paris with my dear friend Ali in winter 2018.

Made to overcome oblivion and to resist the passage of time, these photographies became images of transiency and the dissolving memory, unfolding an abysmal beauty.

Workshop – Arranging Movement in Film

    Workshop on Film-Choreography

    4.-6. December 2020, EDEN*****, Berlin

Movement seems to be the crucial common point between choreography and cinematography. But how can physical and cinematic movements be arranged, composed, and interwoven with each other?

We will discover the various methods and strategies which can be used to connect dance and film through a close and precise study of selected dance films and texts. By analysing the genesis, processes, and methods used in our examples, we will learn more about what I refer to as film-choreographic compositions.

The workshop is divided in four sessions, each accompanied by a selection of films and texts. The aim is to provide historical and conceptual knowledge on the hybrid film format, and to support the participants in the development and enhancement of their own ideas for dance films.

„spectRes by Sarah Möller, Christian Brinkmann & David Wiesner is a video installation smartly crystallizing the image-mediated reality we’re all part of. The work collects and displays images from various international news sources in an automated blog. The images are displayed for a fraction to vanish a second later, forever.“
